How the odds work,
and how to check them.
Every box publishes the exact probability of every item inside it. This page explains where those numbers come from and how to verify a reveal.

The odds table
Every box page lists every item it can contain with its exact probability. The probabilities always total 100%. What you see is what runs: the same table shown on the page is the table used by the draw.
How a reveal is decided
Each open is an independent draw. Earlier opens do not change later ones, and there are no hidden streaks, timers, or account based adjustments. Everyone opening the same box faces the same published odds.
Verifying a reveal
Covet uses a commit and reveal system. Before your open, we commit to a server seed supplied and signed by random.org, an independent randomness provider. Your own client seed, which you can change any time from your profile, mixes into the result so we cannot choose your outcome. After the reveal you can recompute the result yourself from the published seeds. The step by step guide lives on our Provably Fair page.
Custom wishlist boxes
On a wishlist box you set the odds yourself with the sliders, up to 85% on a single piece, always totaling 100%. The odds you set are the odds that run, and the box price is computed from them.
Market values
Listed market values are checked against current retail and resale prices and refreshed regularly. They describe what the item sells for elsewhere; they are not a promise of resale proceeds and they are not the buyback offer, which is always shown separately.
Changes
If a box's items or odds change, the change applies only to opens after it is published. An item can be temporarily marked restocking, which means it cannot be drawn until it is back; while restocking, remaining odds are shown as published and the item is flagged on the box page.
